Holy Visit of Saint THERESE Relics to Kartaba

More than 10.000 people waited about 4 hours (from 2:00 AM until the 6:00 AM) for the arrival of Saint Therese Relics on the eastern entrance of kartaba.

All gathered in the street, old, young and children regardless the coldness of the weather, warmed and armed by the faith of GOD and the love of Saint Therese.

The arrival was scheduled to be at 2:00 in the morning, at the eastern entrance of kartaba, as the Relics were coming back from Annaya where they passed a historical day, gathered with the holy relics of Saint Charbel, Sainte Rafca and father Hardiny relics. But on their way to kartaba they were forced to stop at Ehmej, Aakoura, Mghayreh and Aabboud by a huge number of believers who blocked the way, willing to be blessed from the relics.

At 6:00 AM exactly the convoy of the relics reach the eastern entrance of kartaba where everybody was waiting holding their hearts in one hand and their candles in the other hand, lightening the darkness of the early morning of the 13 of September 2002. Sisterhoods, Associations Representatives, Priests, Diplomats, Officials,... everybody was there, and started walking all together from the eastern entrance of kartaba till the shrine of Saint Therese at the western entrance of kartaba. One hour of walk started in the dark lightened by the candles light, finished under the sun light, was for us shorter than a minute.

Prayers were fulfilling the sky of kartaba through a thousands of watts speakers settled on special cars accompanying the convey.

On the way, the car holding the relics could not run anymore due to the high temperature of the engine, but never stopped and was pushed all the way by the surrounding believers.
